Doctor CalicoDoctor Calico is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, DJ, producer, programmer, and polymath. The workshop “Dance Electric: The Black American Roots of Techno Synthesis” will explore the process of creating musical works using sampled sounds and music, subtractive synthesis, and drum machines.
Free and open to the public. No RSVP is required. No prior experience is needed. Age 18+ only.
All workshop participants will be requested to fill out a short survey and give a short interview as part of an educational research project. The purpose of the research project is to create unique and interesting educational activities such as these workshops, by asking for participant feedback to improve the workshops.
