Abstract: Mr. DeRosa will describe his path from an engineering major at Georgia Tech into the private equity and venture capital industry and will further detail the differences between private equity and venture capital and the pros and cons of careers in those fields.

  • General Partner, Element Partners; Managing Director, Activate Capital; Partner, Cordova Ventures; Principal, EnerTech Capital; Senior Associate, Safeguard International Fund
  • Over last 10+ years at Element Partners II led $154.5m of Private Equity investments: Current Value $420.0 million (2.7x)
  • BS Electrical Engineering/Certificate in Economics, Georgia Tech (first in class); MBA, Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania (Palmer Scholar)
