Please join the Georgia Tech Bar Association on November 9 for an informative discussion about the legal considerations for startups. Open to all alumni and students, a panel of Georgia Tech alumni and lawyers will cover various topics including business formation, intellectual property, employment issues, and more.

The event will be hosted at the Alumni House and also available online. Doors open at 6:30 for mingling, drinks, and snacks, with the panel discussion starting at 7:00 and plenty of time for Q&A from 8:00 to 8:30 (the live-stream of the event will start at 7:00). There is no cost to attend the event, but registration is required. Link will be sent to those that register for virtual option.

Justin Barnes

Justin is a partner with Jackson Lewis, specializing in employment law. He is a 2003 graduate of Georgia Tech and a 2007 graduate of Wake Forest School of Law

Jonathan Hawkins

Jonathan is the founder of Law Firm GC, specializing in business law and general counsel services. He is a 1999 graduate of Georgia Tech and a 2003 graduate of the University of Georgia School of Law

Michael Mehrman

Michael operates his own law practice, specializing in intellectual property law. He is a 1985 and 1986 graduate of Georgia Tech and a 1995 graduate of Georgia State College of Law

Natanya Brooks (moderator)

Natanya is a board member of the Georgia Tech Bar Association, a 2006 graduate of Georgia Tech, and a 2013 graduate of Emory University School of Law
