There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Functionally the new site is identical to the old one. webteam@gatech.edu

Have you always wanted to find a way to give back, but didn't know how? Do you want your company to be more socially conscious, but don't know any good movements to get behind? Have you always wished that your skills could make a true lasting contribution to people who need it desperately?
Then join the Advanced Technology Development Center (ATDC) and the Georgia Tech Research Institute at the 2011 Random Hacks of Kindness (RHoK). RHoK is a two-day, worldwide event that is designed to let hackers build applications for solving all kinds of problems. We will be open all night, so bring your sleeping bag and hack all night.
Before coming, review the list of projects that need being solved. Pick a problem you'd like to work on and pitch the problem to the group. Consider the following why it is important and how you would solve it. Then we will split up into several teams, each attacking a different problem.
Here is a list of the problems currently needing a solution.
