The Korean War was the first US war after the armed forces were officially integrated.The Medal of Honor has a mixed history with people from minority groups. The program will feature speakers recognizing General Davis and Korean War Medal of Honor recipients from the following five groups: African-Americans, Asian-Americans, Hispanic-Americans, Jewish-Americans, and Native-Americans.

Speakers include Prof. Kaye Husbands Fealing, dean and Ivan Allen Jr. Chair, Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts; Major General Larry Taylor, USMCR (ret.), BSIM’62; Prof. John Morrow, Franklin Professor of History Emeritus, UGA; Squadron Commander Anisha Singh, AFROTC, BSAE’23; Captain Irene Liscano, JAG, USAF, BSINTA’06, MSINTA’08; Regents’ Professor Seymour Goodman, Ivan Allen College and College of Computing; and Dr. Jamil Zainaldin, President Emeritus, Georgia Humanities Council.

There is no fee to attend, but registration is required by September 22. Please RSVP to Mayumi Cole: mayumi.cole@arotc.gatech.edu. Lunch will be provided.
