Learn more about the importance and impact of economics and the array of academic and professional options available to students who draw on this important skill set. Engage with the Program Director and alumni from an innovative summer program at the University of Chicago designed to increase diversity in the field of economics.

About the EDE Program: The EDE Summer Institute is a University of Chicago program hosted by the Becker Friedman Institute designed to identify and support talented undergraduate students from a broad range of backgrounds interested in the study of economics. The program’s goal is to diversify the pool of students majoring in economics, who may go on to a graduate program of study, or a career drawing on this important skill set. More information is available at the EDE website.
