There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. African Graduate Students Connect (AGSC) exists to provide a unique social, professional and academic network to promote sociocultural enrichment, academic success, and Africa-related volunteering opportunities for graduate students of African descent or of the African Diaspora.
Our intention is to foster increased camaraderie and "a spirit of community" away from home; providing motivational, mentoring and morale support in times of need; facilitating the dissemination or sharing of pertinent and valuable academic, institutional and career/employment information.
