Georgia Tech Human Resources (GTHR) will host its annual Student Employee Onboarding event  Aug. 17-19 on the third floor of the Clough Undergraduate Learning Commons. The event is open to all newly hired graduate and undergraduate student employees who need assistance with the final steps in the hiring process.

Note: The event is not an opportunity to find a campus job. It is the final step in paperwork processing for those hired into an already accepted campus position.

All student employees must complete all parts of onboarding and be hired in OneUSG Connect before beginning work. If you have already completed in-person onboarding  at GTHR, you do not need to attend Student Employee Onboarding.

All new hires must complete the online Student Hire Packet before in-person onboarding can occur. At the in-person Student Employee Onboarding event students will:

  1. Check in at the welcome desk to confirm that they are ready for in-person onboarding.

  2. Have their identity verified to complete I-9 Section 2 and security questionnaire.

    • Please review the identification requirements, and make sure to  bring original (no photocopies) and unexpired documentation  to the onboarding event.

  3. Optional: International students will be able to submit Social Security Number (SSN) applications (with employment letters and supporting documentation) directly to representatives from the Social Security Administration. Officials will be accepting walk-ins (no appointments) from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day of the event in Clough Room 323. Review SSN application requirements on the OIE site here
