The Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts is pleased to announce that Priti Bhatia, director of Facilities & Capital Planning, has graduated from the Georgia Tech Institute of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion's Inclusive Leaders Academy (ILA) program.
Bhatia joined the sixth cohort of the ILA program and over the course of 13 weeks, and 18 plus credit hours, she graduated as one of 34 Culture Champions. She along with other Georgia Tech colleagues participated in an engaging and immersive journey to complete the ILA program that included learning how to cultivate self-awareness, social intelligence, and courage. Course work focused on the skill sets proven to lead to better decision-making as well as enhance team and organizational climate.
The class of 2022 was comprised of leaders from various areas of campus who are making an impact and learning to practice inclusiveness in their leadership role.
“It was a humbling experience to be part of the program and to learn from speakers, facilitators, peers and industry experts," Bhatia said. "The entire series was crafted to engage each member at various levels and explore relevant DEI topics of discussions including lifting people up, creating a leadership legacy, mitigating bias and coaching. The 2022 ILA facilitators did an amazing job throughout this journey!"
