There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Functionally the new site is identical to the old one. webteam@gatech.edu

While electric propulsion has rapidly transformed the ground transportation landscape, aviation remains a major contributor to our carbon footprint. In the last decade, while prototype demonstrations of hybrid and fully-electric urban air vehicles have been made, electrification of commercial aircrafts still sounds like a distant dream. This workshop aims at identifying the innovations needed to address the unique challenges of hybrid and e-aviation power electronics systems from circuit topology to their integration strategy, advanced materials, manufacturing, and cooling technologies, with a focus on system-level, multi-physics design to enhance the functional and power densities and efficiency of electric motor drives.
During this workshop, you will join leading experts in power electronics systems and integration and thermal transport to discuss the challenges, opportunities, and disruptive technologies needed for electrification of aircraft in the next decade. Registration is required. We look forward to seeing you there!
