There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Functionally the new site is identical to the old one. webteam@gatech.edu

The Workshop will bring together researchers in the Atlanta area with an interest in soft materials, molecular forces, biophysics, molecular electronics, and fluid dynamics to discuss their work and explore collaborations.
The Keynote speaker this year will be Professor Maria Cristina Marchetti, Syracuse University.
The rest of the time will be allotted to three more invited speakers and SHORT presentations (“sound bites”) that are intended to give the audience a flavor for the research topics and the techniques used to address the research problems discussed. We invite students, post docs, and faculties to present sound bites. We hope and expect that students will attend whether or not their faculty advisors can attend.
This Workshop is free and breakfast/lunch/snacks/coffee will be provided.
If you plan to attend the Workshop, please submit your registration online, before Wednesday, May 18th 2011. If you intend to give a sound bite (3-5 minute summary of your current research), you should submit your title and abstract through our webpage when you register for the workshop.
*Sound Bites must be max: 3 PowerPoint slides. Please save them by your last name, first name.* Email your PowerPoint slides to samantha.king@physics.gatech.edu by close of day, May 18th 2011.
Please visit www.softmaterials.gatech.edu for workshop information and continue to check the webpage for more information.
