Robert Gonzalez, assistant professor in the School of Economics, co-authored "Violence and Financial Decisions: Evidence from Mobile Money in Afghanistan" in The Review of Economics and Statistics. In it, "We provide evidence that violence reduces the adoption and use of mobile money in three separate empirical settings in Afghanistan," the researchers wrote in the abstract.
