Georgia Tech officially honored the 356 individuals who met their 10- or 25-year service anniversary over this fiscal year at our Service Recognition Luncheon on April 19.

Held at the Renaissance Midtown Atlanta, 21 25-year service honorees and 84 10-year service honorees celebrated their accomplishments with members of our executive leadership team, fellow colleagues, and guests.

Provost McLaughlin marveled at the combined 2,950 years of expertise, hard work, and passion our 10-year honorees have given the Institute. He recalled that one honoree shared, “I am truly grateful for the support, the friendships, the opportunities, and the challenges that allow me to grow as a better employee and even as a better person.” Another shared that their fondest memories were from the classroom and seeing the “light bulb go on in a student's mind…the sparkle in their eyes and their smile!” They said, “That is the best feeling you ever get as a teacher!”

President Cabrera reflected on the tremendous growth and expansion our 25-year honorees have experienced throughout their tenures at Georgia Tech, not only physically but culturally as well. He stated, “The Institute has become more diverse, more welcoming, more innovative, and more impactful than at any time in our history.” He noted that the contributions our 25-year service honorees have made contributed to much of that growth.

At the Service Recognition Luncheon, 10-year recipients receive a certificate in recognition of their commitment to the Institute. 25-year recipients receive their choice of a gold tack pin or charm, presented to them by President Cabrera, signifying our appreciation for their dedicated years of service.
