There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Functionally the new site is identical to the old one. webteam@gatech.edu

If you’ve ever been interested in teaching a section of GT 1000 Freshman Seminar, now is your chance.
Success Programs is accepting applications from faculty and staff volunteers to teach fall 2011 sections.
The one-credit seminar helps new freshmen adjust to college life, learn about their major and related careers, and introduces them to campus resources. Sections are small — typically, no more than 25 students — and are assisted by upper-class team leaders.
Employees from any department on campus are welcome to apply, provided they hold a master’s degree, have been employed at Tech for one year as of August, and have their supervisor’s, director’s or department head’s support. Training is provided for all instructors.
For more information about GT 1000, email Steven Girardot, director of Success Programs.
