OIT Welcomes Robert DiFilippo as New Director of Tech Applications Group

The Office of Information Technology (OIT) recently welcomed Robert DiFilippo as the new director of its Tech Applications Group (TAG). 

DiFilippo brings 25 years of IT leadership, design, architecture, and support to the Tech Applications Group. He is excited to share his past experiences from a variety of industries, learn from the present, and continually plan for the future.

DiFilippo is a proud graduate of Kent State University. He has designed data processing systems, worked in marketing analytics, and has trained and managed tech teams.

DiFilippo most recently worked as Director of Technology Operations at ClearStar Inc. where he managed all facets of their global production environment, managed support teams of developers, DevOps, and service. In this role, he was responsible for balancing the expectations of the customer with the requirements of security, the business and technical goals.

He enjoys working with people to understand their needs and finding the right solution for their success.

Formerly a part of the Provost's Office, TAG joined OIT in October 2021 as part of an organizational restructure. TAG works with customers to design, build, and support web-based software applications that support academic and research administration.
