No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Hi Student Org Leaders!
Mobilizing Opportunities for Volunteer Experiences (MOVE) is Georgia Tech's umbrella organization for a variety of community service and volunteer opportunities. We strive to connect the Georgia Tech community through diversified service opportunities and by providing resources to other service organizations on-campus.
We will be hosting our annual Celebration of Service (COS) event on Thursday, April 7th from 10:30am to 1:00pm. We would like to invite your organization to participate! COS is a tabling event on Tech Green where participating orgs will showcase their civic engagement and service work completed throughout the year. If you decide to participate, your organization will have a designated table along Tech Green and will present materials (pictures, statistics, etc.) to highlight service opportunities you have engaged in. Service can take lots of different forms—direct service, philanthropy, education, advocacy, community conversation—so think broadly about what your organization has accomplished!
We plan to host a workshop a couple weeks before the day of the event during which we provide some materials for your tabling setup (we'll be in communication about that with orgs that have RSVP'd!). Several organizations will have the opportunity to host a mini service project alongside tabling. Funding for projects will be provided!
To be included as part of our event, please RSVP by March 31 at 11:59 pm. If your organization would like to host a mini service project, please RSVP and submit a MOVE Service Grant request by March 14 at 11:59 pm (see instructions in the slides linked below).
