Full Summary: Last semester, the Centers for Serve-Learn-Sustain (SLS) and Teaching and Learning (CTL) at Georgia Tech collaborated with Kennesaw State University’s Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) to facilitate a multi-institutional Faculty Learning Community (FLC). Along with co-facilitators Carol Subiño Sullivan, assistant director for Faculty Teaching and Learning Initiatives with Georgia Tech’s CTL, Rebecca Watts Hull, a service-learning and partnerships specialist with SLS, and Mandy McGrew, education specialist, Scholarly Teaching with Kennesaw’s CETL, five instructors at Georgia Tech and four at KSU are developing a workshop for the USG conference titled "From HIPs to SDGs: Why the UN Sustainable Development Goals should be in your course and how to get started." Register here to gain access to this workshop and many others that are part of the USG Teaching and Learning Conference. Workshop participants will view a recorded presentation and will be invited to explore a set of handouts designed to help them get started incorporating the SDGs into their teaching.  A synchronous session will follow on Thursday, March 24 at 11:00am. In this live session, participants will be able to ask questions and engage with the presenters about their experiences and identify next steps for incorporating the SDGs in their own courses.
