There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Functionally the new site is identical to the old one. webteam@gatech.edu

Georgia Tech alumnus Charlie Crawford, a former member of the College of Sciences Advisory Board who turned his fascination with America's historic battlefields into a decades-long mission to preserve them, has received the 2022 John Macpherson Berrien Lifetime Achievement Award from the Georgia Historical Society. Crawford, who received his B.S. in Applied Mathematics from the School of Mathematics in 1971, served as the president of the Georgia Battlefields Association for 20 years, and has been a member of the American Battlefield Trust since 1991. A retired U.S. Air Force colonel, Crawford designed — and still leads — a walking tour of historic sites in downtown Atlanta.
