Join the Office of Special Scholarships for a moderated discussion with the Co-Founder of The Gathering Spot, TK Petersen! TK will give us a glimpse into his inspirational life story and his unique journey into entrepreneurship.

TK Petersen is the CFO and Co-Founder of TGS Holdings, a consumer lifestyle and hospitality company based in Atlanta, Georgia. The company's holdings consist of The Gathering Spot, a private membership club; and A3C, a music, tech, and film conference and festival. He and his business partner raised private capital from investors to open their first Gathering Spot location. TK recently opened the second Gathering Spot location in Washington D.C., and is leading the club’s physical expansion to Los Angeles.

The renowned Atlanta based club has established itself as a home for Atlanta’s creative class, business professionals, and entrepreneurs. He and his business partner were awarded and honored by Atlanta Magazine, the Atlanta Business Chronicle, The Root 100, and Ebony Power 100. They have also been featured in notable national publications such as Fast Company, The New York Times, Essence, Forbes, Inc, Black Enterprise, Bloomberg Businessweek, The Huffington Post, and USA Today.

TK is an active member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated, and he proudly serves his community as a board member of the Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau, Harvard Diversity Project, and Re:imagine/ATL. TK earned a dual degree in Finance and Accounting from Georgetown University, and he currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia.
