*** THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED. A NEW DATE WILL BE ANNOUNCED SOON. ***
Japan has inspired the creative world for many generations - now it is time for the creative world to inspire Japan to rebuild. On April 16, Atlanta will be one of the 400 Pecha Kucha cities around the world to come together and hold events, broadcasting out to the world and Japan over multipule Ustreams.
Donations for are accepted at the door or online and will go to Architecture for Humanity's Rebuild Japan, which is currently organizing advisors in Japan. Pecha Kucha partnered with AFH for Haiti, which led to 100% of donations going to build a school. Spread the word and hope to see you 8pm on Saturday 16th April.
The Atlanta event will be "walk up" style. Bring your 20x20 presentation and add to the hundreds of others that will be made around the world. All will be streamed live and then uploaded online to make a database of postive inspiration for Japan. The 20x20 presentations will be focused on themes: INSPIRE, JAPAN, THE ISSUES, RECOVERY. They could be simply about things that inspire us, or Japan how it has inspired you. Great ideas or solutions that help deal with the issues at hand whether earthquake, tsunami or nuclear - and the road to recovery. Need some ideas? See presentations from Global Pecha Kucha for Haiti.
