Nominations are now being accepted for the Lettie Pate Whitehead Evans Gender Equity Award, through February 22.
The $5,000 award was established by the Office of the President and all faculty and staff who have demonstrated significant and tangible contributions that have advanced gender equity at Georgia Tech are eligible to apply.
Evans was a trailblazing businesswoman, the first American woman to sit on the board of a major company, and the Institute’s largest donor. The successful nominee should have led a transformative, large-scale effort to advance gender equity, achieved results that impact a large constituency at Georgia Tech, extended efforts across multiple Georgia Tech departments, units or entities, and exhibits a willingness to take on any responsibility necessary to achieve success.
For more information, contact Diley Hernández, Ph.D., associate vice president of Institute Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at dhernandez31@gatech.edu or visit hr.gatech.edu/view-staff-awards to learn more and apply.
