There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Functionally the new site is identical to the old one. webteam@gatech.edu

Join us, Friday, January 28th, 2022, at 11 AM EST for an exciting virtual talk by Dr. Russell A. Poldrack entitled:“Toward an open ecosystem for neuroimaging data analysis and sharing” as part of the activities of the Brain Space Initiative, co-sponsored by the Center for Translational Research in Neuroimaging and Data Science (TReNDS) and the Data Science Initiative, IEEE Signal Processing Society.
Abstract: Significant concerns have been raised regarding the reproducibility of current scientific practices. I will provide an overview of the problems with reproducibility (focusing in particular on neuroimaging research) and outline a set of tools that provide the ability to build fully reproducible analysis workflows. I will also discuss the need for transparency through data sharing, and the importance of community standards for data organization to make data sharing effective.
Biosketch: Russell A. Poldrack is the Albert Ray Lang Professor in the Department of Psychology and Professor (by courtesy) of Computer Science at Stanford University, and Director of the Stanford Center for Reproducible Neuroscience. His research uses neuroimaging to understand the brain systems underlying decision making and executive function. His lab is also engaged in the development of neuroinformatics tools to help improve the reproducibility and transparency of neuroscience, including the Openneuro.org and Neurovault.org data sharing projects and the Cognitive Atlas ontology.
