Title: Novel RFID Systems and Techniques for Localization, Positioning, and Sensing Applications
Committee:
Dr. Tentzeris, Advisor
Dr. Peterson , Chair
Dr. Durgin
Abstract: The objective of the proposed research is to explore novel ways of improving the performance of legacy backscatter RFID systems, develop new ultra low cost, ultra low power RFID tag architectures for use in positioning and orientation sensing applications and finally to develop a new signal processing framework for object positioning that escapes the bandwidth limitation on positioning accuracy and resolution while remaining compliant with government regulations.
