Abstract: 2021 was full of challenges for the supply chain across many, if not all, industries. A series of man-made and natural events combined to create shortages, delays, and price increases in a way that many in the field have never seen before. This has led many companies to reconsider their supply chain strategies – including where geographically to buy things and from how many suppliers. We’ll look at what caused these crises, what resulted, and what companies should consider in designing more robust future supply chains.
