The Trey Clegg Singers will perform their exciting annual Black History concert
celebrating the music of African American composers. The highlight of the evening
will be the premiere of "Without Regard To Sex, Race or Color" by Atlanta composer
and civic leader, D. Randolf Hooker. Inspired by two works of photography by
Atlanta-based photographer Andrew Filer, the music speaks to themes and history
surrounding the relationship of African Americans to education, the struggles of
HBCU's compared to the enormous contributions they have made to the creation of
the black middle class, and to creating American leaders in all aspects of life.
