Seminar Title: Full Steam Ahead: Engineering Your Future

Abstract of Talk: This brief seminar will quickly guide the audience through one man's journey from student loans to a technical management position in one of the world's premier electrical and computer engineering companies.  Stops along the way will include a celebration of failures, thoughts about career trade-off decisions, what companies value in an engineer as an employee, the importance of relationships, and an overview of the role of Applications Engineers in the world of high-tech companies.

Biographical Sketch of the Speaker: Keefe is the Keysight EEsof EDA National Manager for a team of Applications Engineers and Customer Success Managers who enable success with Keysight Software Solutions.  He has worked for Keysight Technologies for over 20 years, has worked in the RF/microwave community for more than 25 years, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.  Keefe resides in the suburbs of Atlanta with his wife and three children, is proud of his continued engagements and partnerships with Georgia Tech, and is the Chair of our ECE Advisory Board.
