There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. The Ferst Center welcomes award-winning choreographer and media artist Jonah Bokaer in a new year-long dance residency program, ARTech, that culminates in the performance of two pieces: FILTER, the new work created during the residency, and REPLICA, a piece that examines memory loss, pattern recognition, and perceptual faculties as they apply to the human body.
Bokaer will utilize a new technology solution, Mass Mobile, created by College of Computing master's student Stephen Garrett. Mass Mobile allows audience members to engage with the performace through a smart phone application. In this performance, Mass Mobile will enable the audience to influencing the lighting.
