Through songs and stories that veer from the tragic to the irreverent, Magnificent Bird explores the ways in which a year off the internet transformed Gabriel's sense of himself as an artist, partner, and parent, against the backdrop of a grieving and divided country facing down a global pandemic and catastrophic climate change.

Gabriel is a singer-songwriter, composer, and multi-instrumentalist who works at the blurred edges of journalism, ethnography, storytelling, and music. His music confounds easy categorization and spans many genres.
