Adam Stulberg, Sam Nunn Professor and Chair in the Sam Nunn School of International Affairs, recently published a PONARS Eurasia Policy Memo. The memo is titled “Sanctions & War: Contending Western-Russian Approaches and Prospects for Strategic Stability.”

In it, Stulberg argues that while the U.S. and Russia are content in imposing mutual sanctions against each other, that feeling is misplaced. He then outlines why sanctions are imposed in each country and how that compares to their strategy for war.
