Abstract: This interdisciplinary and community-engaged project was created to pilot a unique partnership of researchers and health care professionals fromCPACS-Cosmo Clinic, Emory University, and Georgia State University to further understanding about the relationships between climate change, health, and migration from Latin America to the Atlanta metropolitan area. In addition to quantifying the infectious burden of climate-sensitive chronic neglected tropical disease, our team was interested in learning more about climate change-related environmental determinants of health, exposure risks, and health vulnerabilities. When data analysis is complete, this pilot study will suggest climate-related issues that contribute to health vulnerabilities in the communities from which participants migrated and that can result in health issues post-migration.
