There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Functionally the new site is identical to the old one. webteam@gatech.edu

Full Summary: Georgia Tech ECE Professor Shimeng Yu will present the Atlanta (Joint) Chapter for IEEE Electron Devices/Photonics (ED/PHO) Societies Distinguished Lecture on November 11. The title of his talk is "Landscape of Synaptic Weight Memories."

Lecture Title: Landscape of Synaptic Weight Memories

Speaker: Shimeng Yu, School of ECE, Georgia Tech

Time: 12:00 pm-1:00 pm

Date: November 11, 2021

Abstract: Analog multilevel memories can enable new device technologies for hardware acceleration of neuro-inspired computing workloads. Professor Yu will discuss the development of non-volatile memories that could serve as the synaptic weights. The seminars will focus on resistive and ferroelectric devices culminating in the integration of RRAM with peripheral CMOS at 40nm for a complete compute-in-memory prototype chip.

Details and Registration: Please register by 5:10pm November 10th at https://events.vtools.ieee.org/m/284899
