The Food and Drug Administration has given its approval for Pfizer pediatric vaccines for children ages 5-11. In this Boston Globe reprint of a New York Times story, Kim Cobb, Georgia Power Chair and ADVANCE Professor in the School of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences, recounts her family's experiences with Covid-19. She and her husband, both vaccinated, came down with breakthrough cases, while two unvaccinated younger children became infected. All have recovered, but Cobb and a younger child have lingering respiratory problems. She is encouraging parents to have everyone eligible in their families to get their Covid-19 shots.
