There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. From the France-Atlanta website: "In light of the 2020 France-Atlanta Conference, the French Consulate in Atlanta (USA), the Georgia Institute of Technology (USA), the Center for Ethics at Emory University (USA) and the University of Nantes (France), are organizing a workshop which, under the same title 'The Ethical Management of AI,' suggests looking at the different regulatory initiatives undertook by the European Union and by the United States of America, to deal with the ethical risks raised by Artificial Intelligence (AI)."
Georgia Tech's ETHICx will represent the Institute as a co-host of the event. Justin Biddle, associate professor in the School of Public Policy and co-director of ETHICx, will be speaking at the event during the session the "Role of AI Ethics in the Current Regulatory EU and US Drafts."
