Zora Ponder-JonesZora Ponder-Jones, an undergraduate student majoring in business administration with a German minor at Georgia Tech and a member of the National Collegiate Honor Society Delta Phi Alpha, has been selected to participate in the Anti-Black Racism Study Abroad Panel. The panel is one event in a two-part series examining anti-Black experiences in U.S. and German academic contexts being co-produced by the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany and the University of Arizona.
Ponder-Jones is the only undergraduate student among the four panelists. Her study abroad experience includes visiting Hamburg, Husum, Weimar, and Berlin with the German summer study abroad program LBAT (Languages for Business and Technology) in 2019.
She joins Onyx Henry, Ph.D. candidate in German Studies at the University of Michigan; Richmond Embeywa, Ph.D. candidate in Transcultural German Studies at the University of Arizona; and Peju Alfred, Ph.D. student in Transcultural German Studies at the University of Cologne and University of Arizona. The panel will be moderated by Cynthia D. Porter, Visiting Instructor of German at Denison University and Ph.D. candidate in German at Vanderbilt University.
