Benefits Open Enrollment Period Begins Oct. 25

There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. With the year coming to a close, it is a good time to review what worked well in 2021 and what not did not - including benefits!

The opportunity to make benefit changes starts next week with Open Enrollment running from Monday, October 25 through Friday, November 5.

All benefits-eligible employees can begin to review 2022 options and plan changes by visiting benefits.usg.edu.

There are two required certifications to be aware of:

  1. Working Spouse Surcharge: There will be a surcharge of $100 per month applied to spouses covered under the plan who work and receive an offer of coverage through their place of employment.
  2. Tobacco Surcharge: A $100/per month tobacco surcharge will be added to monthly premiums for individuals (and/or any of their dependents) who use tobacco products.

The Virtual Benefits Fair will take place October. 25 to 29, from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and includes live sessions, chats with vendors, and benefits information. Visit usg.vfairs.com to register and attend.
