Margaret E. Kosal, associate professor in the Sam Nunn School of International Affairs, was appointed to the BioMADE 4S Committee, which stands for safe, secure, sustainable, and socially responsible. BioMADE is an initiative sponsored by the Department of Defense, designed to promote sustainable, domestic, and end-to-end bioindustrial manufacturing.
The 4S Committee is one of three within BioMADE. Its goal is to ensure that all of BioMADE’s technical, educational, workforce, and community projects work to achieve the four “s” words that give the committee its name.
Georgia Tech is a governing member of BioMADE, with other faculty members involved across the organization.
