There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Kings, Queens, and Commoners is the theme of the Spring 2011 concert by the Georgia Tech Choirs. With performances by the Georgia Tech Chorale and the Georgia Tech Women’s Chorus, musical selections will include the Mozart's "Coronation Mass," Haydn's "Regina Coeli" and Javier Busto's "Salve Regina." The program also will include several spirituals and global music, as well a "mash-up" of the Beatle’s Let it Be, Hey Jude and The Flower Duet (Sous le dôme épais), used in several recent movies.
The concert is scheduled for Sunday, April 17, at 2:00 pm at Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, located at 731 Peachtree Street; one block east of Tech Square and one block north of the Fox Theatre. The Chorale is under the direction of Jerry Ulrich and Melissa Arasi directs the Women’s Chorus. The concert is free and will last just over one hour.
