On September 15, 2021, Dr. Kirk Bowman, a Full Professor at the Sam Nunn School, facilitated a portion of Georgia Tech's 13th Annual Diversity Symposium. This year's symposium, entitled "The Globalization of Anti-Racism Activism," featured Ibram X. Kendi, a historian and award-winning author of How to Be An Antiracist. The event included a panel discussion with Georgia Tech faculty, students, and alumni about local, national, and international anti-racism movements. Dr. Bowman facilitated the discussion on "Global and Local Connections," helping guide the participants on topics of collective action and community responses to local acts of racism. You can find out more about the Diversity Symposium here.
