There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Functionally the new site is identical to the old one. webteam@gatech.edu

Abstract: The objective of this doctoral research is to develop 1) three new multilevel-converter concepts utilizing the binary numeral system-based capacitor voltage control and multilevel AC-voltage synthesis and 2) a new model predictive current control (MPCC) methodology exploiting the quadratic integration method to effectively enhance the DC-AC power-conversion quality and efficiency and the closed-loop control performance of MPCC-based multilevel converters in several-hundred-kVA and low-nominal-DC-voltage power applications.
