General Philip Breedlove (Retired)General Philip Breedlove is a Distinguished Professor at the Nunn School and a Center for European and Transatlantic Studies (CETS) Senior Fellow. He previously served as NATO’s Supreme Allied Commander Europe and the Commander of US European Command before retiring. On September 9, 2021, General Breedlove gave his powerful personal account of what happened on September 11, 2001. The former Georgia Tech student and ROTC cadet described how in 2001, he was the chief aide to the top official in the Air Force, Jim Roche.
