Twenty-three Ivan Allen College faculty members have been named to the Class of 1934 CIOS Honor Roll for instructional excellence in the spring and summer semesters. Among those is Assistant Professor Casey Wichman, who received the teaching honors in his first year of teaching at Georgia Tech.
The distinction, awarded by the Center for Teaching and Learning, recognizes faculty members with exceptional scores and response rates on the Course Instructor Opinion Survey (CIOS). Students complete the CIOS at the end of each semester to provide feedback to instructors about the learning experience in their respective courses.
To be named to the Honor Roll, instructors had to receive responses from at least 70% of students and place in the top 25% of the composite CIOS scores for each class-size group.
At the end of each calendar year, Honor Roll recipients with the highest rankings will attain the Student Recognition of Excellence in Teaching: Class of 1934 CIOS Award.
