As a division of the U. S. Department of Energy, ARPA-E funds high-potential, high-impact energy technologies that are too early for private-sector investment. The agency is accepting and reviewing proposals to award $100 million to the nation's boldest, brightest innovators who have unique ideas for transformative technologies that could cange the way energy is generated, stored, and used.
ARPA-E's requirements and application process is very different from other federal agencies. If you haven't successfully applied for an ARPA-E grant in the past, this workshop provides relevant insight and useful information.
Led by ARPA-E fellows and awardees, the workshop is designed to provide background on how the agency develops its technology programs and offer tips, advice, and examples on how to develop and submit strong funding applications.
The funding is awarded on a three-year cycle; the next opportunity to apply will be 2021.
