M.G. Finn, Professor and Chair, and James A. Carlos Family Chair for Pediatric Technology in the School of Chemistry and Biochemistry, tells CBS 46 News how his lab is working with the Centers for Disease Control to come up with tests for identifying the different variants of the coronavirus. The current Delta variant spreading rapidly across the U.S. can be beaten with vaccinations, Finn says, but "the longer we give it, the more chances there are that other variants that are more dangerous will emerge."
