An Olympics unlike any other begins on July 23rd. Originally scheduled in 2020, the Tokyo Olympics was postponed to the Covid-19 pandemic and after one year is still steeped in uncertainty. Restrictions on athletes from all over the globe joining in one location, limited spectators, a Tokyo state of emergency, and a pandemic that has not entirely receded are just some of the issues raised by this event.

Join experts from the Sam Nunn School of International Affairs and the School of History and Sociology as they discuss this unique sporting event from a Japanese and global perspective.
