There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Functionally the new site is identical to the old one. webteam@gatech.edu

If you suddenly notice an influx of men with shaved heads on campus, it's not from an increase in ROTC enrollment or the warm weather.
The Interfraternity Council (IFC) is partnering with local businesses to raise money for St. Baldrick's Foundation, a volunteer-driven charity that funds resarch to find cures for childhood cancers. So far, more than 145 Greek males have signed up to have their heads shaved in solidarity with children fighting cancer; these 145 men have raised more than $42,000, nearly half the current Atlanta fundraising total of $86,000.
The grand ear-lowering will be an evening of consecutive team shaves at RiRa Irish Pub, with Tabatha Coffey of Bravo TV's Tabatha's Salon Takeover kicking off the first part of the event as a celebrity barber. A list of participating teams/chapters and a schedule of when each time will get its haircuts is available on the St. Baldrick's website. Donations may be made online or in person at RiRa.
