Foroozan KarimzadehForoozan Karimzadeh has won a Semiconductor Research Corporation (SRC) Graduate Fellowship, which is awarded in partnership with Texas Instruments. Karimzadeh is a Ph.D. student in the Georgia Tech School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE), where she is a member of the Integrated Circuits and Systems Research Lab. Karimzadeh is advised by Arijit Raychowdhury, who holds the Motorola Solutions Foundation Professorship.
This fellowship program is designed to support students who are working toward a doctorate degree in SRC’s area of interest. These prestigious awards provide full tuition and fees and a monthly stipend to the awardees. The Fellowship Program supports doctoral students for up to three years.
Karimzadeh received the B.S. degree in ECE and the M.Sc. degree in Biomedical Engineering from Shiraz University, Iran, in 2013 and 2016, respectively. Her main research interest includes developing hardware and circuit solutions for TinyML, which are energy efficient machine learning systems deployed on the edge. Karimzadeh was a finalist in the Georgia Tech Three-Minute Thesis (3MT) competition in 2019. She was also a recipient of the thesis support grant and publication award by COGC of Iran in 2015.
In addition to her academic work, Karimzadeh is active in Women in Engineering and is currently serving as the vice president of ECE’s Graduate Student Organization.
