His thesis, supervised by Professor Emeritus John Krige, was titled: The Birth of the Taipei Metro and Technological Hybridity under American Hegemony: the History of the Rail Mass Transportation in Postwar Taiwan.
Huang's dissertation "discusses how a complex rail mass transportation emerged in postwar Taiwan" with a focus on how U.S.-Taiwan relations helped shape it. You can read the abstract and dissertation here.
