Mary Motolenich, a second-year Ph.D. student in the School of Economics, was awarded a Haley Fellowship for the Spring 2021 semester.
The Herbert P. Haley Fellowship is a graduate fellowship that recognizes significant accomplishments and outstanding academic achievements for students at Georgia Tech, two qualities that Mary has demonstrated clearly during her time at the Institute.
Mary is interested in the intersection of economics and health, and her work embodies the Institute’s mission to advance technology and improve the human condition. Her recent research focuses on the expansion of practice laws for midwives and the effect of this policy on the maternal health of disadvantaged populations in the United States. After she graduates, Mary hopes to become an Economics professor.
Congratulations Mary, we're proud to have you as a member of the ECON community!
