Full Summary: Former U.S. Senator Sam Nunn will be honored at a special luncheon hosted by the Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts.  Georgia Tech President G. P. "Bud" Peterson will present Senator Nunn with the Ivan Allen Jr. Prize for Social Courage.  Doors to the ballroom will be opened at about 1:30 pm and faculty, staff and students are welcomed to hear Senator Nunn's acceptance speech.

Senator Nunn is the inaugural recipient of Georgia Tech's Ivan Allen Jr. Prize for Social Courage.  His speech will take place during the The Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts Founder's Day Celebration which takes place March 14-15, 2011. 

Hosted by Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts Dean Jacqueline Jones Royster and the Founder’s Day Committee, the two-day event will illuminate the legacy of Ivan Allen Jr. and recognize the Honorable Sam Nunn for his visionary leadership and social courage.

The Allen Prize Symposium:  "Global Challenges, Courage, Leadership," takes place March 14, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm at the Global Learning Center,
2nd Floor, Room 236.  The Symposium will be webcast LIVE at http://dllive.gatech.edu/AllenPrizeSymposium
