TITLE: Brazilian Power Industry Energy Operation Planning

ABSTRACT:

The Energy Operation of the Brazilian Interconnected Power System is centrally coordinated by ONS, the Brazilian Independent System Operator. In this talk, some characteristics of the Brazil Power system will be presented as well as the mathematical and computational models used to solve it. Also, some of the current challenges will be discussed.
